Ecos de coral
Ecos de coral was presented as part of the collective exhibition Paz en femenino: el arte de bordar memorias 2024 at the Museo San Juan Nepomuceno in Santa Marta, Colombia.
The work intertwines surreal and abstract elements to explore femininity and its profound connection to nature. Rendered in soft pastel tones, it conveys delicacy and sensitivity, evoking the essence of women particularly mothers—through flowers and butterflies that appear to pulse with life.
Conceived as an homage to mothers, the piece celebrates a strength akin to that of coral: resilient and enduring, yet graceful in form. Abstract lines weave a dialogue between the rational and the organic, reflecting the delicate balance between strength and gentleness.
Ultimately, Ecos de coral is both a tribute to the beauty of women and a meditation on their resilience, offering a visual narrative that invites reflection on the intimate bond between humanity and the natural world.
