ALMAS SILENTES DE CALLE (2019)

This project arises from the need to shed light on the realities of those who inhabit the streets—individuals who face a lack of opportunities, social inequality, economic instability, and multiple decisions forced by adverse circumstances. These conditions lead them to wander through the paths of cities and rural areas, situated between vulnerability and resilience, between weakness and power, reflecting the two sides of the coin that we recognize as society.

The research was carried out through the research-creation method, with a qualitative approach supported by critical pedagogy, social imagery, symbolic analysis, and both the aesthetic and conceptual dimensions. Its purpose was to give voice and form to the narratives of three homeless inhabitants of the La Bonanza neighborhood, generating a space for dialogue between art and social issues.

As a result, an artistic triptych was created, bringing together and evidencing these experiences, enabling critical reflection and offering an approach applicable to educational and social processes.

The work was exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogotá, consolidating itself as a bridge between artistic creation and social transformation.
